Workshop on Computational methods!

COMPUTATIONAL METHODS for NONLINEAR DYNAMICS
SEPTEMBER 22-25, 2010

Objectives:
  • To expose young researchers to different numerical methods essential for exploring the various aspects of nonlinear dynamical systems.

  • To learn the modern computational methods specifically useful for investigating complex nonlinear phenomena of recent interest.

  • About the Workshop

    • The first three days of the meeting will be conducted in the form of a workshop and the last day will be devoted to a conference.

    • In the workshop eminent scientists from across the country will give lectures on various basic computational tools in nonlinear dynamics.

    • In the conference recent findings on different topics in nonlinear dynamics using computational methods will be presented.

    Participation

    • Young research students and faculty who have just started working on nonlinear dynamics using computational methods are eligible to participate in the meeting.

    • The applicant should submit a brief note (200 words) highlighting the need for his/her participation.

    • The number of participants will be limited to 75.

    • Sleeper class train fare will be provided to participants in need of travel support.

    • There is no registration fee for the workshop and conference.

      • Application form can be downloaded from the CNLD website http://cnld.bdu.ac.in/cmnd2010/A specimen copy of the application is provided below.

      • Duly filled-in and signed application should be submitted to Prof. S. Rajasekar, School of Physics, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirapalli 620 024, Tamilnadu, either by post or by e-mail (cmnd2010@gmail.com) not later than July 30, 2010.

      • Selected participants will be informed by August 6, 2010.s
